Home Drone is an interactive drone I made with air organ, household objects and 18 Vines. Please, turn them on. Homedrone.org.

The site works best with the Chrome or Safari web browser and you’ll need to view it on a desktop or laptop computer. Simultaneous Vine video play is not supported on the iPad/iPhone web browser. Also, it’s pretty loud!

Last week I performed at Public Assembly in PRACTICE! - a series presented by Diamond Mouth Surprise and Diamond Terrifier. I sang a little, played and looped guitar, Moog, Nord, Octapad and my buddy Jonathan also played his flying V. We got a good recording so I edited together a little piece from it. The cover art source material is the poster image from David Lynch’s Eraserhead. I erased the face (get it?) and spun ‘er all around. The lovely Stadiums & Shrines premiered the track over here earlier today.

I played some crystal glasses and scored a wonderful new short by Austin Lynch called Breathing Cave. Take five and go deep. Thanks to The FADER for the premiere.

…Austin Lynch, son of David Lynch and a director in his own right, follows members of the Richmond Area Speleological Society underground in his meditative new short film, Breathing Cave. The world there is alien, but still simple, making Breathing something like an everyman’s Cave of Forgotten Dreams, where lower-stakes beauty seems accessible to anyone with a backpack and a free weekend—or five minutes and an internet connection… Read more

//NEW VISIONS// NOAH WALL - PUBLIC DANCER (DIAMOND ATLAS PREMIERE)

Tina Turner: legendary, beautiful, and effortless.

The highs and lows of her career were often depicted through some of her biggest hits.

One song in particular, the prolific love anthem,“What’s Love Got To Do With It”, is an ode to anyone who’s heart has lead them to do foolish things.

The significance of this timeless song can be felt on Noah Wall’s latest LP: Heloise.

Back in January, Noah discussed the importance of morphing this classic into a “super remix”, which is appropriately titled “Public Dancer”. The reworked song, much like all the songs on Heloise, is a beautiful tribute to another legendary women that holds on a spot in Noah’s heart: his mother.

The video for the song, directed by Tara Sinn, sees Noah once again looking to the original Queen of soul is reference.

The glamour, the fashion, vibrant lights, and stunning silhouettes. All these elements combined move in a hypnotic pattern that draws you into a dream-like ecstasy; taking you a dimension that feels reminiscent of Tina’s trademark flare and sass.

For 6 minutes, her classic song is reborn in a synthesized haze, as Noah Wall watches on from the heavens at the sea of gorgeous body movements, shimmering dresses, and endless legs.

Overall, the visuals hold true to what the rework looked to accomplish and offer what I would consider one of the most surreal experiences you’ll ever get from watching a video.

Heloise was a Diamond Atlas favorite last year and this video was definitely worth the wait.

Noah Wall is currently hard at work on something beautiful, which will materialize later this year.

Until then, Noah has released some music from his previous project, Jukeboxer.

Get into that and then maybe get into this old Tina performance from 1993 because it’s pretty amazing.
